Birth

He is an authentic, out-and-out Cross Riverian with a big heart for this State and our great country.

Engr. Mkpang Coco-Bassey was born in Glasgow, Scotland; he grew up in old Calabar. Due to his Parents’ desire and passion for making a difference, they brought their family back home to Nigeria when Engr. Mkpang was just three years old.  He is from Calabar South Local Government Area in Cross River state.

Education

Engr. Mkpang started his education at the Bishop King Memorial Primary School and Duke Town Secondary School, where he completed his Primary and Secondary Education.

He then attended the Polytechnic, now the University of Technology. He obtained his Higher National Diploma in Electrical and Electronic Engineering and did his compulsory National Youth Service Corps in Anambra State.

After that, Engr. Mkpang decided to pursue his educational career further and read Electrical and Electronic at the University of Port Harcourt, Rivers State, where he obtained a Bachelor of Engineering Degree.
